One week left to fund Jay & Event Lites
A few weeks ago we told you about a new initiative for #StartupDayton that spun out of the StartDowntown efforts to local startups access capital. We have some great news and some soon to be great news for you regarding Dayton's Kiva efforts!
THE GREAT NEWS
Fronana, everyone's favorite banana based ice cream alternative, has secured a $9,000 loan to start shipping to their product to customers nation-wide.
The Dayton-based company is launching it's e-store and will ship FronanaGrams to their Fronatics across the country. They estimate that they will be able to ship 1,000 of pints and generate over $50,000 in revenue as a result of launching their online store.

SOON TO BE GREAT NEWS
**UPDATE: Jay & EventLites were successfully funded on July 3rd!**
Those of you who didn't know Jay Nigro before Dayton Startup Week definitely do now. #StartupDayton's resident DJ and star production manager is a serial entrepreneur with multiple active businesses in the event/party industry.
His newest venture, EventLites, fills a gap in the local market for large marquee letters for events.
A loan of $5000 will be used to purchase the majority of the remaining inventory of lighted letters needed. Their current business model is to build the letters as needed. With this loan, Jay will be able to have the majority of letters in stock and ready to use at events, which is key to meet customers needs.
So here's your call to action. Jay has one week left to secure the remaining $1,275 (as of the publishing of this post). If 51 members of our startup community commit just $25 we can push Jay & EventLites over the edge.
