The next Chamber seminar willhelp make any introvert a company asset.

Registration is now open for the seminar, Networking for Introverts, taking place at 3:30 pm Thursday, September 8 at Montgomery Insurance & Investments, 114 S. Detroit St. Then practice your new skills immediately following the seminar at Business After Hours from 4:30 to 6:30. The seminar presenter will be Michelle B. Coleman, Professor and Coordinator for AA in Communication Studies, Clark State Community College.

The program will explore:
Whether you are an extroverted introvert or an introverted introvert
Finding your networking style -  your biggest confidence booster
How to demonstrate your passion and skills to make you feel invincible
Smiling and other nonverbal communicators
Learning to listen with purpose

Michelle earned a Master of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Illinois in 1999. She has worked as an instructor for Clark State Community College for 16 years, teaching Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Small Group Communication, Argumentation and Debate, and History of Mass Media. She is a textbook author and workshop leader. Michelle presented the Chamber's highly successful Communication seminar in 2015.
