DaytonDefense (the Dayton Area Defense Contractors Association) will host the 11th annual Wright Dialogue with Industry on July 19-21, 2016 at the Dayton Convention Center, Dayton, Ohio. In this new environment of fast paced change, strategy must be agile while laser focused on achieving the third offset. Join us at Wright Dialogue with Industry (WDI) 2016 as we explore how strategic agility will be maintained among the many technology focus areas within Air Force Research Laboratory and NASA Glenn Research Center. You will learn new ways of strategic thinking as well as AFRL's plans in achieving innovations that drive our Air Force to offset that will ensure military and technological superiority. New this year will be an introduction of the 10th Technology Directorate, Development Planning & Experimentation. Also new this year will be the opportunity to make an appointment to speak with AFRL Leaders in private "one-on-one" sessions concerning specific opportunities you're interested in.
The Wright Dialogue with Industry offers three (3) days of in-depth and comprehensive presentations, panels, and breakout sessions related to the Air Force and NASA science and technology focus areas and aerospace research and development. The Wright Dialogue with Industry (WDI) attracts over 400 participants and affords Government, Industry and Academia an opportunity to exchange information and form collaborations to address current and future Air Force and aerospace challenges. Information will be posted in advance of the event on the Defense Innovation Marketplace. This early release of information will include details about planned government solicitations as well as technology gaps.
The WDI presentations feature Technical Directorates with their core technical competencies, and new business opportunities for the upcoming government fiscal year as well as future requirements and open solicitations for capturing innovative solutions. The content will be made available to registrants in advance via the WDI event portal and will include descriptions of missions; program objectives and plans; and related contracting opportunities.
This year's WDI event will feature several changes resulting from prior attendee feedback. These changes include:
- Significantly enhanced Program and Business Opportunity Information
- The latest information on Developmental Planning
- Greater opportunities to attend Technology Directorate area sessions; Agile Combat focus to include the “multiple Centers” and "Digital Thread Digital Twin"
- Participation by NASA Glenn Research Center
- Greater opportunities for match making/teaming with special emphasis on SBIR technology transition opportunities for large and small businesses – via Phase III contracts.
This year's WDI event will feature keynote speakers from Government, Industry and Academia, informative panel discussions, and in-depth electronically available technical information. This event is enhanced by ample opportunities to dig deeply into technologies and programs of interest to the Air Force, Industry and Academia. Networking opportunities exist during the extensive breakout sessions, and at the Day 1 evening reception.
This event is restricted to Government personnel and Government Contractors. All non-Government attendees must be U.S. citizens and must supply a copy of their organization's DD2345, "Military Critical Technical Data Agreement" prior to being confirmed and admitted to the event.
