AIMS Metrology is putting on a 3 day event on perfecting parts measurement titled Advancing Quality in Manufacturing. This event will host speakers, tours and demonstrations all related to perfecting parts management. The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday May 10

10am Mike Fish, Ph.D., Co-Director, Dontyne Systems Limited Gear Metrology - Using a CMM and software to design and measure gears. Applying measurement data to create a closed loop gear manufacturing system to optimize production. 

2pm - Heidi C. Taylor, Fixture Designer, R&R Fixtures Medical Devices Part Holding - The requirements that pose complications in the measuring process and what characteristics need to be accounted for to ensure accurate measurements. 

Wednesday May 11

10am - Bruce Brigham, Prolink Software
Gage R&R - How to properly conduct a Gage R&R Study and to consider all the conditions and variables and their consequences. 

2pm - Gene VanPatten, Prolink Software
Data Collection - Efficient data collection to provide real time useful information for process control. 

Thursday May 12

10am - Wayne Nye, Team Leader, CSMC CMM Programming Group, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft 

Implementing 5-Axis Inspection Technology for aerospace components. 

2pm - Beau Easton, Owner/VP Quality, Meyer Tool
Feedback Systems - Utilizing measurement data in a feedback system to minimize scrap rates.
