The Hitchhiker's Guide to Dayton Tech & Startups

Startup Week Brainstorming Happy Hour

  • Warped Wing Brewing Company 26 Wyandot St Dayton, OH 45402 USA

Join us for a happy hour to brainstorm what a Startup Week could look like in Dayton and network with entrepreneurs and community supporters.

What is Startup Week?

Startup Week™ brings entrepreneurs, local leaders, and friends together over five days to build momentum and opportunity around your community’s unique entrepreneurial identity.

Check out this video of Denver's Startup Week to see what this program is all about.

Brainstorming

Startup Week revolves around a series of topic "tracks". New events typically focus on 5 tracks with each track hosting one event per day. Some of the more popular tracks we've seen in existing Startup Weeks are:

  • Startup your Startup
  • Developers
  • Sales
  • Funding/Finance
  • Legal
  • Marketing
  • Technology
  • Veterans
  • Women in Tech

We will provide blank canvases for each of the tracks listed above and are open to other ideas. We want the entrepreneurs and startups to decide what topics and speakers matter. There are a number of communities on StartupWeek.co that have full schedules available if you are looking for inspiraiton.

Startup Week is also a great opportunity to engage the entrepreneurial community supporters. Many of the Startup Week schedules we've looked at include existing events in the community like mentoring hours, Startup Grind, or pitch competitions. We'd love for the community supporters to focus on this side of the week during the brainstorming.

Location

We will be meeting at Warped Wing Brewing Company and food will be available to purchase at Spent Grain Grill. We hope to see you there and hope you follow Warped Wing's motto to "Share a pint, and make a friend".

Please feel free to send us your ideas ahead of time if you cannot attend and we will pre-populate your ideas on the canvases.
