Tarek Kamil is a serial entrepreneur based in Cincinnati. He is currently Founder and CEO at Cerkl—a company building long-term, sustainable engagement through automated personalization technology. Prior to founding Cerkl, Tarek founded and built WhatIfSports, an interactive web simulation game. From its start in 2000 on the heels of the dot.com bust, Tarek and his team built WhatIfSports into an industry leader before eventually selling it to Fox Interactive Media in 2005.
In addition to his work at Cerkl, Tarek serves on the Maderia school board, volunteers as an advisor at both UpTech & The Brandery, has close ties with the OCEAN Accelerator team and serves on the Board of Directors at Cintrifuse. While Tarek makes his home in Cincy today, he is originally from the Dayton area and is a proud graduate of the University of Dayton.
